Conrad Hool

Conrad Hool, along with his brother, producer/director Lance Hool, operates Silver Lion Films since 1987. The Hool brothers grew up in Mexico where they began experimenting with filmmaking as young boys. Armed with their early Kodak Brownie 8 mm camera and principally inspired by John Wayne westerns they began writing, directing and acting in their own short films. Many years later they were thrilled when they actually worked with the “Duke” as actors on RIO LOBO. The Hools are owners of Santa Fe Studios, the state of the art film studio complex in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Conrad’s wide-ranging year professional experience in the film industry has paired him with some of history’s greats and Academy Award winners, including Howard Hawks, John Wayne, Sam Peckinpah, Stanley Donen, Ralph Nelson, Burt Reynolds, Charles Bronson, and many others. Conrad has extensive experience in film production in many countries of the world. Among some of the many films in which Conrad has served as executive producer, producer, co-producer and/or unit production manager are MAN ON FIRE, CLUB DREAD, CROCODILE DUNDEE IN LOS ANGELES, ONE MAN’S HERO, THAT CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON, McHALE’S NAVY, FLIPPER, FLASHFIRE, THE AIR UP THERE, GUNMEN and PURE LUCK. Conrad and Lance recently produced 2HEARTS, which was filmed in Vancouver and Hawaii and is to be released theatrically in mid-August 2020.
