Veronica Hool

Veronica Hool is a screenwriter, psychologist, and creative, with a uniquely holistic approach to cinema. A Los Angeles native from a long line of filmmakers, she grew up on film sets all over the world, and has developed a deep interest in the dynamism of relationships and the human condition.

She started acting in theatre classes at Harvard-Westlake School when she was 13, and won a Director’s Guild of America Youth award for a short film she wrote, directed, and edited when she was 17.

Veronica has her Bachelors of Arts in Cognitive Science and International Relations from the University of California, San Diego. She has her masters from USC in Marriage and Family Therapy.

Veronica has experience working on multiple different sides of the camera. On the business side, she worked for IFTA behind the scenes of the American Film Market, then moved on to head sales for Kathy Morgan International, selling US films at the four major film markets, Cannes, Berlin, Toronto, and AFM. Veronica explored her interest of cinematography by working in the camera department on the filming of The Cup, which filmed in Melbourne, Australia. She has also completed a 3-year acting and directing program studying the Meisner Technique.

The amalgamation of Veronica’s various experiences has brought her to her current position as the President of Development at Silver Lion Films. She has most recently written and executive produced 2 Hearts, filmed in Vancouver and Hawaii, where she also directed second unit.

Veronica continues to search for compelling and authentic stories that demonstrate what it is to be human.
